My Story

Alli Oops!

My story probably isn’t the same as most. I wasn’t always destined to start a small business nor have I been a master chef since a young age. This was truly an “oops” situation. I’ve been a menace in the kitchen my entire life. The first time making cupcakes, I was out of vegetable oil and decided that PAM was a good substitute. I sprayed it into the batter until it seemed acceptable to me. They turned out PERFECT. This began the realization that the unconventional way I do most things was actually okay. I started baking cupcakes for friends (I omitted the PAM) and eventually had people ask me if I was taking orders. It took off more than I could’ve imagined. A few years into running the business, my husband and I started a family and the business was paused. Instead, I got to turn my passion towards making cupcakes for my babies’ birthdays and doing events and weddings for dear friends and family.

OH -> WV

Nearly 8 years after first launching my business, God brought us from everything we knew and loved in Ohio to the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. After moving to WV, we were given the gift of slow. We got to slow down and really focus on what we loved. I started baking again for my family and really honed in on my homesteady kitchen skills. I slowly started back baking for our new friends in WV. It was then that it got “out” that I used to have a business and I started getting order requests. I decided to relaunch under a new name and begin to focus on learning this business again.

Now!

Now, life is truly as Sweet as Can Bee, and I couldn’t be more grateful. This relaunch has caused this to take off more than I could’ve ever imagined. God has been so good to me and my family, and my prayer is that we can spread a little bit of Jesus as we share our cupcakes with the community. We are proud to serve the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Thank you for supporting my small business. Thank you for taking a chance on a girl who was never really meant to be good at this. I am forever grateful. <3
